Overview

We’re partnering with a leading fashion company in New York City to hire a Freelance Production Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development and production of new styles from concept through final delivery while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Pay: $27.50 hourly. Location: New York, NY (Hybrid).

The position is hybrid, requiring both remote and in‑office work.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Design and Fabric teams to track fabric, trim, and wash development and own the approval process.
• Monitor weekly factory production and approval status reports; help assess and flag delivery risks.
• Communicate daily with internal and external partners on style development, production, and delivery timelines.
• Manage sample tracking and ensure adherence to the TNA calendar for on‑time delivery.
• Send PDM packages to vendors and track shipment and delivery.
• Maintain accurate costing records and organized style information.
• Own the end‑to‑end purchase order process in collaboration with Merchants and MOS.
• Partner with leadership on garment costing, production planning, sourcing, and delivery timelines.
• Interpret data, identify issues and communicate proactively with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare agendas and participate in cross‑functional meetings.
• Support additional production‑related tasks as needed.

Qualifications
