Job summary

Mid States Concrete Industries in South Beloit, IL is seeking a Stripping Crew Team Member to remove and transfer pre-cast concrete pieces using saws, overhead cranes, and measuring tools. The role operates on a third shift and requires adherence to safety, quality and productivity targets.

You will follow blueprints, move pieces from forms and trailers, and keep the work area clean while collaborating with a team to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Crane Certification.
• 1+ years of general labor experience.
• 1+ years of experience in the concrete field.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, measure, and utilize concrete saw to cut to ensure proper size of pre-cast pieces.
• Utilize overhead cranes and teamwork to remove pieces of concrete from the forms.
• Transfer pieces of concrete from trailers to proper location.
• Maintain and cleanup work area during and after removal of concrete pieces.

About the Role

The Stripping Crew Team Member is responsible for the removal and transfer of all pre-cast concrete pieces. They utilize concrete saws, overhead cranes, and various measuring tools to ensure pieces of pre-cast concrete are the correct size needed and moved to the correct area in the plant. The Stripping Crew Team Member works in all-weather climates and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while meeting company safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, measure, and utilize concrete saw to cut to ensure proper size of pre-cast pieces.


• Utilize overhead cranes and teamwork to remove pieces of concrete from the forms.


• Transfer pieces of concrete from trailers to proper location.


• Maintain and cleanup work area during and after removal of concrete pieces.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Crane Certification


• 1+ years of general labor experience


• 1+ years of experience working in the concrete field

Preferred

• Forklift Certification


• ACI or similar construction certification


• 1+ years of experience working in the construction field
