Phantom Brands is seeking an experienced Home Goods Production Coordinator in New York City. You will manage the full production lifecycle, collaborate across design, merchandising, and sales, and maintain strong overseas supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 5–10 years in home goods production, with hands-on expertise in sampling, costing, and quality control. The position is 100% in-house, Monday–Friday, in New York City.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on production experience in home goods.
• Established relationships with factories in China.

• Strong knowledge of overseas manufacturing processes, timelines, and QC.
• Experience negotiating factory pricing, MOQs, lead times and costs.
• Ability to manage multiple product categories, vendors, and production schedules.
• Understanding of product development, sampling, packaging, and mass production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with international vendors.

Responsabilités

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Home Goods Production Coordinator to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in home goods manufacturing, established relationships with factories in China, and a strong understanding of the product development and production process from concept through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Management: Oversee and coordinate all stages of production, from initial product development and sampling through manufacturing, quality control, and shipment.
• Factory Relationships: Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing factories and manufacturing partners in China while identifying and sourcing new factories as needed.
• Product Development: Collaborate closely with the design, merchandising, and sales teams to ensure products are developed according to specifications, quality standards, target costs, and production timelines.
• Costing & Negotiations: Work directly with overseas factories to negotiate competitive pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), production lead times, and manufacturing terms.
• Sampling & Approvals: Coordinate product samples, review construction and quality, communicate revisions, and manage the approval process prior to mass production.
• Production Tracking: Maintain detailed production schedules, monitor factory progress, and proactively address delays or manufacturing challenges to ensure on-time delivery.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet company quality expectations, approved specifications, and applicable retailer requirements.
• Vendor Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for overseas manufacturing partners, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of production issues.
• Order Management: Coordinate purchase orders, production details, packaging requirements, and shipping timelines with internal teams and overseas vendors.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, sales, logistics, and management to ensure seamless execution of product launches and seasonal collections.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5–10 years of hands-on production experience within the home goods, housewares, or home furnishings industry.
• Established relationships with factories and manufacturers in China are required.
• Proven experience managing production across multiple home goods categories, including kitchenware, bath and cleaning accessories, home décor, bedding, textiles, tabletop, storage, and related products.
• Strong knowledge of overseas manufacturing processes, product construction, materials, production timelines, and quality control procedures.
• Experience negotiating factory pricing, MOQs, lead times, and production costs.
• Ability to manage multiple product categories, vendors, and production schedules simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of product development, sampling, packaging, and mass production.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working with international vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production tracking systems.
• Experience working with major U.S. retailers and understanding retailer-specific production and packaging requirements is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
