Aerotek is seeking a Production and Logistics Coordinator for our Fontana, CA site. The role focuses on organizing daily administrative tasks, production scheduling, and logistics coordination to support a small production site.
The successful candidate will manage ERP-based orders, monitor inventory, and collaborate with supply chain and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery and accurate documentation. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite role with daytime hours.
The Production and Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in organizing and supporting a small production site in Fontana. This position combines daily administrative responsibilities with production scheduling, logistics coordination, and customer support activities. The coordinator collaborates closely with supply chain and support teams, and may work independently to ensure continuity of operations during the site manager’s absence. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
Manage customer orders and production tickets in the ERP system from creation through final validation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and prioritize production schedules in coordination with the supply chain team in Chicago and the site manager to meet customer demand.
Manage inbound and outbound transactions in the ERP system and monitor stock levels to maintain appropriate inventory.
Review inventory of materials against current and anticipated sales orders and engage purchasing and sales teams when adjustments are needed.
Assist with physical inventory tasks, including counts and reconciliations, as assigned.
Manage and track shipments for all inbound and outbound materials, ensuring on-time delivery and proper documentation.
Respond to customer inquiries promptly and report any non-conformances (NCRs) and claims to customer service and the lab manager for tracking and resolution.
Support the site manager in developing plans to meet customer needs and production requirements.
Assist the site manager in responding to inquiries from production teams and providing necessary information or documentation.
Provide backup support for various production and administrative reporting activities.
Coordinate waste removal in collaboration with the site manager, following established waste management processes and maintaining tracking files.
Perform data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks to support smooth production and logistics operations.
Collaborate with the Chicago site on transportation of materials, logistics, customer service, and supply chain activities.
Carry out other duties as assigned to ensure efficient and continuous operation of the production site.
Experience with production scheduling and coordination in a manufacturing or production environment.
Knowledge of transportation and logistics processes related to inbound and outbound shipments.
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage customer orders and production tickets in an ERP system from creation to validation.
Experience monitoring inventory levels and reconciling materials against sales orders.
Ability to respond to customer inquiries and elevate non-conformances and claims appropriately.
Strong organizational skills for filing, record keeping, and reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively with supply chain, customer service, and production teams.
Capacity to work independently and maintain site operations during leadership absences.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with internal teams and customers.
Experience using ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred but not required.
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or production coordination.
Comfort working in a small production facility with cross-functional responsibilities.
Ability to support waste management processes and related documentation.
Customer service experience, particularly in a production or logistics setting.
Flexibility to perform a variety of administrative and operational tasks as needed.

The environment requires comfort moving between office and production spaces and adhering to any site-specific safety and attire guidelines typical of a production facility.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
