Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate
Job Description

The Quality Assurance Associate ensures that products and inventory meet required specifications by performing detailed inspections and system audits in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on verifying product quality at key checkpoints, reconciling physical inventory with system records, and supporting production by confirming that materials are available to meet build requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with measurement tools and quality procedures, and the ability to use computer systems to document and communicate findings.

Responsibilities
  • Compile daily inventory reports to reconcile the actual number of parts in the factory with system records.
  • Perform system audits to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure they are sufficient to meet build and production requirements.
  • Communicate potential material shortages clearly and promptly to material planners.
  • Perform quality inspections based on established checklists of inspection points and procedures.
  • Complete inspections using provided tools such as static tools, dry leak testing equipment, cab electrical test equipment, and templates.
  • Conduct overall quality inspections at designated quality gates and during pre-delivery inspection stages.
  • Inspect products to verify that they meet all required specifications and quality standards.
  • Use measurement tools such as micrometers, gauges, fillet gauges, and calipers to validate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Document inspection results accurately using computer systems and applicable software.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying quality issues and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Collaborate with production and other teams to ensure that quality standards are consistently maintained.
Essential Skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience performing quality checks or inspections in a production environment.
  • Ability to pass a tape measure test and accurately read measurements.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to enter, review, and manage data in computer systems.
  • Basic proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with quality tools such as micrometers, gauges, fillet gauges, and calipers.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections using static tools, dry leak testing equipment, cab electrical tests, and templates.
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance principles in manufacturing, including inspection checkpoints and quality gates.
  • Comfort working around CNC, welding, and machine operations in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both inspection and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using SAP or comparable inventory and production systems.
  • Exposure to CNC operations, welding, or machine operation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with general computer applications for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, checklists, and specifications related to product quality.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report shortages, quality issues, and audit findings.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large industrial manufacturing plant that is climate controlled and designed to support high-volume production. The facility houses approximately 1,800 employees and includes typical manufacturing operations such as CNC machining, welding, and machine operation. The position is physically demanding, requiring you to be on your feet throughout the shift and to work around production equipment and quality inspection stations. You will use a variety of tools and technologies, including measurement instruments (micrometers, gauges, fillet gauges, calipers), quality testing equipment (dry leak testing, cab electrical tests, templates), and computer systems such as SAP for reporting and inventory reconciliation. The role follows a shift schedule with opportunities for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed. Standard shifts include a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:10 p.m. Monday through Friday and a third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:10 a.m. Monday through Friday. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bogart, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.98/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
