Production Coordinator (Finance)

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will support manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers, including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and distribution of Medtronic products at our Danvers facility. The Danvers site has been part of Medtronic since 1984, serving internal partners with delivery systems for therapies. A Danvers product impacts a customer worldwide approximately every 2 seconds.

Danvers has annual costs of about 120 million USD supporting revenue of 8 billion USD, supporting eleven Medtronic Operating Units with finished goods and components, employing over 1000 people. The site operates several product lines, including Guide Catheter, Export, PWP, Guardwire, Enveo, Spiderman, MRI, CryoCath, Fusion, Micra, Needle, TrailBlazer, React, Bolero, and Sensight.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control.
• Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments following procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and quality teams to ensure safety, quality, and delivery, documenting appropriately in Work Instructions.
• Estimate and log production rates and times using MPS and tier systems, establishing sequences and lead times to meet project deadlines.
• Develop and implement activities in production areas to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and supply chain.
• Make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and labor.
• Develop personnel skills through cross-training to ensure operational continuity.
• Develop schedules and operator requirements for assigned areas.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles with a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience: Basic knowledge of production systems and procedures; 0 years of experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machinery.
• Report malfunctions or abnormalities.
• Create standard work documentation.
• Communicate with engineering and management on production status.
• Follow all QMS and documentation standards.
• Train and oversee new employees to follow processes.
• Maintain safety, GDP, delivery, efficiency, and scrap standards at the line level.
• Adjust systems and processes based on feedback to engineers and process owners.
• Provide daily work direction to team members.

Salary range for US locations (excluding PR): $40,400 - $60,600. This position is eligible for the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). Details vary by location and experience.
