Bavarian Inn Restaurant, Frankenmuth, MI, is hiring a Production Cook to prepare homestyle favorites and large batches of signature sides, following established recipes to ensure consistent flavor and quality. This is a hands-on, high-volume kitchen role requiring reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

You will work 3–5 days per week, with shifts such as 9AM–5PM, 11AM–7PM and 1PM–9PM.

Qualifications

• Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain quality.
• Previous cooking experience in restaurant or high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Ability to stay focused and manage multiple batches efficiently.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around hot kitchen equipment.
• Willingness to work 3–5 days per week, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook large batches of signature side dishes following recipes.
• Manage cooking schedules and production quantities for busy meal periods.
• Operate commercial cooking equipment (steam kettles, mixers, etc.).
• Regularly lift and maneuver large pans up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas following food safety procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth daily food production.

Bavarian Inn Restaurant ishiring a Production Cook to prepare the homestyle favorites served withour famous Family Style Chicken Dinners! You'll prepare large batches of oursignature sides, including mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, noodles, andvegetables. By following our established recipes, you'll deliver the consistentflavor and quality our guests know and love.

This is a hands-on, physicallyactive cooking position where reliability, consistency, and attention to detailare essential. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work,follows recipes carefully, and can keep up with the demands of a busy,high-volume kitchen.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare and cook large batchesof our signature side dishes, following established recipes and procedures toensure consistent flavor, texture, and quality.
• Manage cooking schedules andproduction quantities to ensure food is ready for busy meal periods.
• Operate commercial cookingequipment, including large steam kettles, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Regularly lift, carry, andmaneuver large pans of prepared food weighing up to 50 pounds, following safehandling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, andsanitary work areas while following food safety procedures.
• Work closely with kitchen teammembers to support smooth and efficient daily food production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Reliability: Dependable attendance,punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Your team counts on you to keep foodproduction running smoothly.
• Consistency & Attention toDetail: Ability to follow recipes precisely, maintain quality standards, and producethe same great results every time.
• Experience: Previous cooking experiencein a restaurant, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, or high-volume food productionenvironment is preferred.
• Independence & Teamwork: Ability to stay focused,manage multiple batches, and work efficiently both independently and withothers.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walkthroughout an 8-hour shift, regularly lift and maneuver pans of prepared foodweighing up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive stirring, bending, reaching,and lifting. Must be comfortable working around hot food and commercial kitchenequipment.
• Availability: Ability to work 3-5 days perweek, including weekends and holidays.
