Job description

Production Control Technician (Forklift/Material Handling)

HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. The group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers worldwide. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC operates 33 facilities across eight countries.

We are currently seeking a Production Control Technician to join our team on the night shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform data entry and use scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy in the ERP system (SAP).
  2. Maintain records of material inventory, including status and location.
  3. Review production schedules and coordinate with supervisors to determine material requirements.
  4. Count, weigh, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
  5. Receive and verify incoming materials for accuracy and condition.
  6. Ensure proper placement of goods for effective FIFO and inventory rotation.
  7. Package finished goods for delivery, including banding, strapping, shrink wrapping, and labeling, and stage/load trucks appropriately.
  8. Inspect materials to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  9. Requisition materials and establish delivery schedules based on job priorities and availability.
  10. Verify proper labeling of hazardous chemicals and handle non-conforming chemicals per safety procedures.
  11. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with at least two years of experience in warehouse/inventory management and operation of powered industrial trucks in an automotive or manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, are preferred. Excellent communication skills are required.
