Job summary

Ram Precision in Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Scheduling Coordinator to oversee development, maintenance, and adjustment of production schedules in our facility. You will work with production supervisors and management to align staffing and scheduling with goals, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in operations management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, or operations coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update daily and weekly manufacturing production schedules based on priorities, capacity, and labor availability.
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling with supervisors and management to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Monitor schedules throughout the day and adjust based on priorities, staffing, machine availability, and needs.
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities to supervisors and employees to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate employee shift schedules, department assignments, and scheduling systems.
  • Assist in balancing labor between departments to meet production demands and deadlines.
  • Track and prepare reports on labor hours, staffing, scheduling, and production requirements.
  • Review, balance, and reconcile timecards before payroll processing.
  • Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies with supervisors and employees.
  • Process approved timekeeping corrections and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify scheduling or labor-hour issues and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and timekeeping documentation.
  • Perform additional manufacturing admin duties as assigned.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Scheduling Coordinator to oversee the development, maintenance, and adjustment of production schedules in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will work closely with production supervisors, department leads, and management to align staffing and scheduling with our manufacturing goals, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Develop, maintain, and update daily and weekly manufacturing production schedules based on production priorities, customer requirements, machine capacity, and labor availability.

- Coordinate with production supervisors, department leads, and management to identify staffing and scheduling needs that align with manufacturing requirements.

- Monitor production schedules throughout the day and make necessary adjustments based on changing priorities, staffing levels, machine availability, and production needs.

- Communicate schedule changes, staffing needs, and production priorities to supervisors and employees in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations.

- Maintain accurate employee shift schedules, department assignments, and scheduling systems, ensuring that all information is current and precise.

- Assist in coordinating labor between departments to meet production demands, deadlines, and accommodate changing workloads.

- Track and prepare reports related to labor hours, staffing, scheduling, and production requirements for management review.

- Review, balance, and reconcile employee timecards before payroll processing, ensuring that recorded hours are complete and accurate.

- Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies by collaborating with supervisors and employees to ensure prompt resolution.

- Process approved timekeeping corrections and adjustments, maintaining accurate timekeeping records for compliance and reporting purposes.

- Assist in identifying scheduling or labor-hour issues that could impact production efficiency, overtime, or staffing requirements, proposing solutions as needed.

- Maintain accurate scheduling and timekeeping documentation.

- Perform additional manufacturing administrative and operational duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

- Proven experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, or operations coordination.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
