Job summary

Ford is seeking a leadership-level MP&L professional to direct and optimize materials planning and logistics at our Avon Lake, OH facility. You will manage material flow from docks to production, coordinate with suppliers, and drive data-driven decisions for schedules and inventories.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, CMMS data accuracy, and alignment with safety and quality standards. Extensive collaboration with internal teams and external logistics partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, supply chain or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage materials flow from loading/unloading docks to production use.
• Support supplier capacity constraint management and resolution.
• Provide data for manning, sourcing and operating plans decisions.
• Ensure just-in-time material flow with no production disruptions.
• Communicate schedule updates, material availability and production inventory counts.
• Identify data gaps in CMMS and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external logistics providers as needed.
• Lead monthly inventory reviews and cost reduction roadmaps.
