Troy Design and Manufacturing, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, is seeking a Materials Planning & Logistics Supervisor (MP&L) to guide material handling across our automotive facility. You will lead a team of material handlers, forklift operators, and warehouse staff, coordinating with production, purchasing, and logistics to sustain uninterrupted manufacturing flow.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, ensuring on-time delivery to production lines, and monitoring inventory

Qualifikationen

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Aufgaben

• Supervise daily material handling activities including receiving, storing, kitting, line feeding, and shipping.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production lines on time to support JIT manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Materials Planners to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Assign tasks and manage work schedules for material handling team members.
• Oversee safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, including OSHA and ISO requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve material flow.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, quality control, and procurement to resolve material supply issues.
• Monitor KPIs such as delivery accuracy, inventory accuracy, and material handling costs.
• Conduct employee training on safe work practices, equipment operation, and company policies.
• Lead root cause analysis for material-related delays or quality concerns.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of shipping and receiving documentation.
