Apex Systems is hiring a Production Control Engineer for a large Healthcare client in Getzville, NY. The role requires on-site work with an initial daytime training period, followed by an evening shift of 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sun through Thu, with occasional night or weekend support.

The qualified candidate will support essential data center infrastructure and collaborate closely with the on-site lead on deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

• Two to four years of experience working with data center infrastructure projects.
• Practical experience with structured cabling (copper and fiber), testing methodologies, and standard data center cooling and electrical systems.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with end‑to‑end monitoring, testing, and capacity planning for critical infrastructure.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on data center equipment.
• Support operations for associated electrical, cooling, alarming, and monitoring systems.
• Execute structured cabling tasks involving copper and fiber media, including comprehensive cable testing.
• Assist with hardware installations, hardware decommissions, and break‑fix troubleshooting.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects including cabinet consolidations and facility documentation updates.
• Work independently on assigned technical tasks while collaborating effectively with the broader team.

First 30 days would be training on first shift 8am-4:30pm then the hours for this position would be 11am-7pm Sun - Thurs ... with some flex if there is night and/or weekend work

Role Overview

This Critical Facilities position serves as a key technical resource supporting essential infrastructure operations at a major data center facility. The selected candidate will assist the primary on‑site lead with the physical deployment of data center technologies and help maintain high‑availability systems. This on‑site position operates on an evening shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, following an initial daytime training period. Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment that prioritizes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Work Environment
