Job summary

Gaven Industries Inc. is seeking a Production Control Coordinator to manage production documentation flow between the ERP system and the manufacturing floor.

You will ensure proper release of jobs with accurate routers, drawings, and supporting docs. You will collect and review completed paperwork, compare actual hours to ERP estimates, and work with operations to identify productivity improvements and cost savings through slack time reductions.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and tracking weekly KPIs.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and production documentation.
• Knowledge of welding, machining, fabrication, painting, and assembly processes.
• Experience with production routers, job travelers, work orders, or manufacturing documentation.
• Attention to data entry accuracy.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Use the company's ERP system to print and prepare job routers, drawings, work instructions, and other required production documentation.
• Verify that required documentation is available and correct before releasing jobs to the shop floor.
• Ensure job packets contain the appropriate drawings, routers, revisions, and supporting information.
• Distribute production paperwork to the appropriate departments and work centers.
• Monitor released jobs to ensure paperwork reaches the shop floor in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, and Supervisors when documentation is missing or incorrect.
• Maintain awareness of drawing and document revisions to help prevent outdated information from reaching production.
• Collect completed job routers and production paperwork from the manufacturing floor.
• Review paperwork for completeness, including employee labor hours, operation completion, quantities produced, and other required production information to ensure ERP reflects the same.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Analyze production performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Follow up with supervisors or teammates when clarification is required.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking open, active, and completed job paperwork.
• Maintain preventative maintenance (PM) records of key manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate emergency equipment repair and work-arounds during PM activities.
