Job summary

FNTS, a trusted IT services provider headquartered in Omaha, NE, is seeking a NOC Analyst for a third shift (11PM–7:30AM CST) to support mainframe and cloud core systems. You will monitor batch processes, outages, and perform scheduling using CA7/CA Scheduler/IBM Tivoli, while communicating with customers and teams across the organization.

The role emphasizes incident triage, documentation, and continuous improvement in a high-volume, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of desktop, server, and network operations.
  • Experience in an enterprise IT operations environment offering customer service.

  • Knowledge of mainframe, tape management, and batch operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and submit customer mainframe batch processes.
  • Monitor and report customer network and/or server outages.
  • Mainframe job scheduling and abend remediation using CA7/CA Scheduler/IBM Tivoli or similar scheduling software.
  • Monitor customer communications via email or phone, escalating where appropriate.
  • Participate in customer bridge calls as needed.
  • Monitor and assist with server patching activities.
  • Incident triage, correlation, and escalation.
  • Create and enhance operational documentation including runbooks, processes and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the client experience.
  • Participate in automation efforts leveraging advanced automation technologies.
  • Complete duties as assigned.

Summary of the Job

The FNTS NOC provides 24 X 7 operational support to a variety of customers in a broad range of industries. We utilize various tools to provide timely, accurate and reliable batch processing and system monitoring services across multiple platforms. The NOC Analyst role is responsible for technology support for business partners and internal customers. This position plays a critical role in our success, providing support for Mainframe and Cloud Core Systems and the underlying infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate for This Role
  • Basic knowledge in desktop, server, and network operations
  • Experience acting in a supporting role in an enterprise class IT operations environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service experiences
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Knowledge of mainframe, tape management, and batch operations
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with colleagues, senior leadership, business partners, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year customer service experience in the Information Technology Industry
  • 1 year operational mainframe experience
  • 1 year experience in utilizing mainframe job scheduling systems (using one or more of these technologies CA7/CA Scheduler/IBM Tivoli)
  • 1 year previous NOC (Network Operations Center)/Command Center/Help Desk/Operations Center experience
  • 1 year experience in desktop, server, and or network support
Compensation

Compensation range (base pay): $52,374.00-$86,417.00. This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are.
