Job summary

Too Sweet Cakes seeks a Production Baker to execute daily and weekly wholesale orders from our kitchen. You will prepare ingredients, assemble products, and follow essential production procedures to deliver high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Communicate proactively with the Back of House Manager during all shifts.
  • Adhere to recipes, procedures, and guides including weights and measures and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of orders while maintaining high quality.
  • Keep a sanitary, organized work environment at all times.
  • Monitor storage and shelf life for all products.
  • Follow health and safety regulations and cleanliness requirements.
  • Use kitchen tools and equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor baking processes to meet quality standards and adjust as needed.
  • Approach tasks with urgency to meet daily, weekly, and long-term goals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Back of House Manager.

Pay Rate: $19–$20/hour

Schedule: 2:0 AM–10:00 AM or 4:00 AM–12:00 PM (may vary)

Job Overview

We're looking for a passionate and skilled Production Baker to join our team. In this role, you'll execute daily and weekly wholesale account orders from our kitchen, utilizing your baking expertise and experience to prepare ingredients, assemble products, and follow essential procedures for production. Responsibilities
  • Communicate proactively with the Back of House Manager during all shifts. Be comfortable asking for help and working as part of a team.
  • Adhere to established recipes, procedures, and guides, including assembly, equipment SOPs, weights and measures, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of orders while maintaining high standards of quality for all Too Sweet Cakes products.
  • Keep a sanitary, organized work environment at all times.
  • Monitor proper storage and shelf life for all products.
  • Follow all appropriate health and safety regulations, food safety guidelines, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Use kitchen tools and equipment, including mixers, dough sheeters, and ovens, efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor baking processes to ensure products meet Too Sweet Cakes' quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Approach tasks with a sense of urgency to meet daily, weekly, and long-term goals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Back of House Manager based on the business's needs.
  • 1–2 years of baking or pastry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of proper pastry methods, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Food Handler's Certificate required.
  • A strong interest in high-quality baked goods and the food industry.
  • Excellent ability to manage time and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50–75 lbs occasionally.
  • A keen eye for detail and quality control.
  • Open availability and schedule flexibility is a must.
  • Must be comfortable working early morning shifts.
  • Full-time position with stable hours.
