Job summary

Too Sweet Cakes is seeking a Lead Production Baker for our Gilbert, AZ retail location. You will own the production schedule and guide bakery staff to ensure stock with fresh, high-quality product.

The role requires early-morning start times (1:00 AM or 2:00 AM) and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, with competitive hourly pay of $25.00–$26.00 and full-time benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Lead daily production baking operations, ensuring recipes, quality, and food safety standards are followed.
• Direct the daily workflow of production/bakery staff, assigning tasks and prioritizing based on case needs and order volume.
• Monitor ingredient and packaging inventory, flagging shortages to the Operations Manager.
• Maintain consistent product quality, appearance, and freshness across all baked goods.
• Train and support production staff on recipes, techniques, and TSC standards.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in the production area.

The Lead Production Baker reports to the Operations Manager.

• Prior experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment; lead or shift-lead experience preferred
• Strong baking fundamentals and attention to quality and consistency
• Ability to direct the work of others in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable early-morning availability
• Valid food handler card obtained within 30 days of hire (valid 3 years)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 lbs
