Job summary

PPG is seeking Manufacturing Production Workers for the Wallingford, CT area. The role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment on the 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:00am) with a 10% shift differential. Training on 1st shift for 3 months is provided.

Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship status or eligible categories; applications begin immediately. Typical duties include equipment setup, safe operation, routine maintenance, inspections, and supporting

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Mechanical inclination, ability to use hand tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment.
• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing job orders and operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working conditions.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality. Help junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Pay Rate: $24.75

Location: Wallingford, CT

Shift: 3rd Shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday – Friday. Shift differential 10%. Train on 1st shift (7:00am – 3:30pm) for 3 months.
