Job summary

PPG's Oak Creek facility is hiring a Production Operator to set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. The role includes moving materials between the warehouse and production areas, and complying with safety protocols.

Shifts run 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a pay rate of $25.14 per hour plus shift differential. Typical duties include equipment inspections, assisting junior operators, and maintaining equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehouse setting preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be clean shaven to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently for production.
  • Keep equipment in good, safe condition and perform inspections.
  • Assist junior operators with assigned tasks.
  • Clean equipment as required and support maintenance as needed.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements.
  • Move materials between warehouse and production areas using trucks or industrial vehicles.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

  • Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
  • Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
  • Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition.
  • Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
  • Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
  • Clean the equipment when needed.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production materials between warehouse and working area.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

  • Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
  • Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.
