Job summary

PPG in Mojave, CA is seeking a Production Operator for the 3rd shift (9:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m., Monday to Friday). The role offers $24.75 per hour with a $0.75 shift differential and immediate hiring.

You will work on setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure quality products reach customers. The position requires ability to lift 50 pounds, mechanical aptitude, and prior manufacturing experience; ITAR-restricted information applies.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to use hand tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment.
• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders and operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working conditions.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality. Help junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
