Job summary

PPG Industries in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a Production Operator to set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment during the 3pm–11:30pm shift. You will work with teammates to maintain equipment, transfer materials, and follow safety procedures, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional overtime.

Production Operator, Oak Creek

Pay Rate: $25.14 plus shift differential

Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including:
• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Clean the equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production materials between warehouse and working area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
• Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.
