Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers (CTSC) is hiring for an entry-level retread technician in Tampa, FL. You will participate in the tire retread process from inspection to final quality check, gaining hands-on training in a manufacturing environment.

No prior experience is required; we train you to perform retread steps, ensuring safe, high-quality tires for fleets. Benefits are provided as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or a patch before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to mold the retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.

Starting Pay:$20 -$22 Hourly (DOE) + Weekly Pay + Full Benefits

About the Role

What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!

In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product
