Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers (CTSC) in Portland, OR seeks a retread team member to inspect tires, buff casings, remove debris, patch and apply new tread, and cure and inspect finished retreads for quality and safety.

The role offers a competitive starting pay of $24.00–$27.00 per hour (DOE), comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) with 2% match, Life Insurance, 40 hours vacation in year one, tuition reimbursement, and ongoing training with opportunities for advancement.

Pay & Shift

Starting Pay: $24.00 (Training Provided) - $27.00 (DOE) Hourly + Weekly Pay OT Opportunities + Full Benefits + Weekly Pay.

Shift: Monday - Friday (Scheduled) Flexible Start Time Between 3AM - 7 AM. Some Saturday Work Rotating Weekends May Be Required Based On Business Demands.

About the Role

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road! In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product

Basic Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
