The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an entry-level Tire Retread Worker to support our retread process. You will inspect, buff, repair, and apply new tread to extend tire life.

Responsibilities include inspecting tires for retread viability, buffing casings, repairing, curing, and final inspection to ensure safety and quality. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

• Basic computer skills.

About the Role:

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!

In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product

Basic Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.without company sponsorship now or in the future.
