Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Chino, CA is hiring for a Retread Technician to help recap, remold, and extend tire life. No prior experience required; training provided.

Duties include inspecting tires, buffing casing, removing debris, repairing casings, applying new tread, curing, and final inspection. Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or a patch before applying new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to set the retread application.
• Final inspection to ensure a safe, quality product.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. About the Role: What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product
