Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers in Chino, CA is hiring a Retread Technician. No experience is required as training is provided; start at $22.00 per hour (training) up to $27.00 (DOE) with weekly pay and full benefits.

The role supports the retread process across multiple stages and involves a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will join a team focused on quality and safety, with comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to determine retread eligibility.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the casing.
• Repair the casing with rubber cement or patch before applying new tread.
• Apply new tread to build the tire.
• Cure the tire to set the retread.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.

About the Role: What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product
