Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate in Rocky Mount, VA. In this role, you'll be responsible for the fabrication and production of component parts for windows, doors, and glass units. The position is physically demanding and performed in a fast-paced environment requiring heavy lifting and operation of tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
• Operate hand or power tools as required.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use a tape measure to read measurements and inspect product defects.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Skills

Position

Production Associate – Responsible for fabrication and production of component parts for windows, doors, and glass units. Works in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment with heavy lifting, hand and power tools, and repetitive operations.

Job Details

Base Pay: $16.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.

Shift 1st: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday – Friday.

Shift 3rd: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday – Friday.

Shoe voucher/reimbursement provided.

Benefits start day one.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as required.
• Understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Use a tape measure to read measurements, inspect, examine, and observe product defects.
• Perform fraction and decimal conversions.
• Operate equipment needed to perform job functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably experienced in manufacturing.
• Preferably experienced reading a tape measure.
