Job summary

PPG is seeking a Production Associate for the Salem, OR area to support manufacturing operations from setup through maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment. You will help ensure safe, efficient, and accurate processing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Training and safety protocols will be emphasized to drive quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lifts up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and supplies.

Production Associate, Salem, OR

Pay Rate: $24.00

Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Primary Responsibilities

Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment.

• Set up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders and operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working conditions.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality. Help junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Qualifications

Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
