Job summary

PPG in New Albany, Ohio is seeking a Production Operator for the day shift. You will set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products.

This role offers a daytime schedule (6:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday) with pay of $23.05 per hour. You will work with safety procedures and support others on the production floor to keep lines running smoothly.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain equipment in good and safe condition.
• Inspect equipment for replacements or repairs.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure capacity and quality.
• Support junior operators in their responsibilities.
• Repair and clean equipment as needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Transfer production equipment between areas using trucks.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

As a Production Operator you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

• Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
