Cornerstone Building Brands in Monticello, IA is seeking a 2nd shift general laborer to support manufacturing operations. Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential, with shift from 3:15 pm to 1:45 am, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities include reading routings, tracking production, and operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in a high production setting, plus ability to lift up to 50 lbs and read

Formación

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in high production manufacturing.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other data and select materials.
• Effective one-on-one and small group communication required.
• Perform general mathematical calculations including fractions and percentages.
• Use power hand tools.
• Drive a forklift.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Read measuring devices (tape measure, protractor, micrometer).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
