Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 2nd shift general laborer in Monticello, IA. Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential for the 2nd shift (3:15 pm - 1:45 am, Monday-Thursday).

The role involves reading routings, tracking production, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and moving materials with a forklift in a high-production manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in high production manufacturing environment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other data and select correct material.
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small groups.
• Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, fractions, percentages).
• Use power hand tools and drive a forklift.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Read measuring devices (tape measure, protractor, micrometer).
• Lifts up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Base pay starts at $19.00 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday thru Thursday)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
• Track production on schedule boards
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• General Labor in different departments of the shop facility
• Moving of raw materials with overhead crane and forklift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts
• Ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Perform general mathematic calculations including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division
• Use power hand tools
• Drive a forklift
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
