Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate to support mill operators, operate side loaders, and perform warehouse duties. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in parts counting, and adherence to quality standards.

The position requires at least a year in manufacturing, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime as needed. Day-one benefits and a strong emphasis on teamwork support ongoing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 1 year in manufacturing or similar setting.
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery/equipment.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and work OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist mill operators and operate side loaders.
• Band and rack products; ensure correct part numbers and counts.
• Follow safety rules and maintain cleanliness and quality.
• Read tape measures and follow posted schedules.
• Provide ideas to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• May take on additional tasks as designated by the Team Leader.

Base pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

1st Shift: 4:30AM - 1:30PM, Monday - Friday (seasonal Saturdays), hours may vary depending on operations

The Production Associate position is responsible for assisting mill operators, operating side loaders, and other warehouse duties as assigned. A strong work ethic and adherence to all safety processes is essential.

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
• Safely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumatic
• Banding and clearing all lines and placing products in outside racks
• Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
• Read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules
• Team player and keeping safety first
• May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader
• Willing/able to work overtime

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
• Able to use of measuring gauges
• Able to read a tape measure
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

The US pay range for this full-time position is $20.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.)
