Cornerstone Building Brands,(Fontana, CA) is hiring a Production Associate to assist mill operators, operate side loaders, and handle warehouse duties with a strong emphasis on safety. The role may require overtime and longer shifts depending on orders and season.

A background in manufacturing and reliable tool skills are valued. The position offers a base pay range of $20.00–$22.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential, with full benefits starting day 1 and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
• Able to use of measuring gauges
• Able to read a tape measure
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
• Safely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumatic
• Banding and clearing all lines and placing products in outside racks
• Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
• Read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules
• Team player and keeping safety first
• May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader
• Willing/able to work overtime

Job Description

Base pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour + shift differential $2.00

Day Shift Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, hours may vary depending on operations

This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate position is responsible for assisting mill operators, operating side loaders, and other warehouse duties as assigned. A strong work ethic and adherence to all safety processes is essential.
