Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate 2 for the 2nd shift (3:45 pm - 12:15 am) in New Jersey. Responsibilities include saw and welding operations, fabricating window components, lifting heavy materials, and assembling insulated glass units with attention to quality.

The role requires reading production reports, basic math, and ability to stand for long periods. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately using a tape measure.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and conversions.
• Able to read and interpret production instructions and reports.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Standing and walking on concrete for extended periods.

• Saw operation and welding for window component fabrication.
• Fabrication and production of component parts for final assembly.
• Operate hand tools and move materials around the production area.
• Load glass and sash components; assemble vinyl grids for IGU.
• Utilize production reports for planning and quality audits for issue resolution.

Job description

Production Associate 2

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Saw operation
• Welding operation
• Fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows
• Fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands
• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
• Lift glass onto build tables and roller racks
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Loading window sash components for processing insulated glass units
• Assembly of vinyl grids for placement within insulated glass unit
• Offloading insulated glass units to carts
• Utilize production reports to assist in production planning
• Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues of concern

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately using a tape measure
• Ability to lift 50pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Will require standing, walking, and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of timeA high school diploma or GED is preferred
