Job summary

Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is seeking a Production Associate I for the 1st shift (M-F, 6:00am – 2:30pm). You will cut, temper, fabricate, insulate, laminate, and warehouse glass while maintaining safety and quality. Requires lifting ability, tape measure reading, and teamwork in a high-heat environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs by yourself, 150 in tandem.
• Able to read a tape measure with accuracy.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a high-heat manufacturing facility.
• Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists and lifts (preferred).
• Glass industry experience is a plus.
• Regular and predictable attendance and safety adherence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, tempering, fabricating, insulating, laminating and/or warehousing glass.
• Move and handle glass from tables, furnace, racks, trucks or crates for 8–10 hours daily.
• Transport materials to expedite the production process.
• Strap glass for safe movement.
• Follow labels and paperwork; read picking lists.
• Use a tape measure to verify product specs.
• Inspect products for defects and notify supervisor of issues.
• Perform other duties and maintain safe operations.

Who You Are:

The Ideal candidate will have 1+ year(s) manufacturing experience. Glass industry experience a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for cutting, tempering, fabricating, insulating, laminating and/or warehousing glass.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

• Handling and moving glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wooden crates for 8-10 hours daily.
• Transporting glass or other materials from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process.
• Strapping glass to carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving.
• Following work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understand and communicate paperwork and labels/picking list.
• Utilizea tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.
• Inspecting product for any abnormalities, cracks, chips, etc. and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Daily inspections – Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc.
