Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a manufacturing associate. You will wear PPE, operate RF scanners, move carts, and load components for insulated glass units. You’ll assemble vinyl grids and process materials accurately to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork on the production floor. We value reliability, cross-training across stations, basic math skills, and the ability to read production data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Cross-train and rotate across line/complex workstations.
• Ability to measure lengths to 1/32 inch and perform basic math.
• Read and interpret production data, reports and instructions.
• Operate computerized equipment and move carts as needed.
• English reading/writing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Use RF scanning to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Move carts in and out of production areas and load window sash components.
• Assemble vinyl grids for insulated glass units.
• Process materials accurately and timely to satisfy customers.
• Adhere to quality and service standards and assist production planning.

Job description

Pay Range: $17.25 – $23.00

Responsibilities

• Wear mandatory PPE (Safety Glasses, Ear plugs, Safety Composite or Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Vest, Hard Hat, Full-body Safety Harness)
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Loading window sash components for processing insulated glass units
• Assembly of vinyl grids for placement within insulated glass unit
• Scan and process materials accurately and timely to ensure customer satisfaction
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Utilize production reports to assist in production planning
• Work with and collaborate with “Picking Operator” throughout the assigned shift
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace
• Assist with picking windows order picker equipment at elevated heights up to 20 feet from ground level

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Frequent exposure to loud noises
• No FEAR of elevated heights
• Ability to read and write in English (Numbers, Locations, short words and phrases)
