Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions in the United States is seeking a Production Associate 2 to support windows and doors assembly, balance throughput, and emphasize safe, high-quality output for timely delivery to customers.

Responsibilities include operating hand tools, following standard work, lifting and packing, and assisting training while maintaining a defined rate. Forklift experience is required; strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read basic word and number cues and follow instructions.
• Operate power tools with dexterity and follow PPE rules.
• Identify hazards and practice safety protocols.
• Understand measurements, tolerances and standard work.
• Be able to lift and move heavy items safely.

Pay rate: $17/hr

The Production Associate 2 employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we Safely make a Quality product and minimize waste/ cost, so it can be delivered on time to customers. Also, responsible for working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties:

What you’ll do

• Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products
• Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
• Follow defined clean-up times.
• Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
• Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations
• Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for Customers
• Identify problems; communicate issues.
• Assist with training co-workers.
• Support a respectful workplace.
• Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.
• Must have forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/Visual Cues
• Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE
• Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
• Variations – having knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
• Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions
• Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation
• Quality Recognition In station quality requirements/CTQ
• Communicate Effectively by actively Listening, Explain Clearly & Accurately, Ask Questions, Share Important Info.
• Time Management and aware of Cycle Times • Ability to perform math by adding numbers, subtracting, including fractions and decimals • Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download • Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good Posture and repetitive motion • Problem Solving using Root Cause Analysis • Dependability being on time consistently
• Profile Recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing • Monitor Inventory by adhering to min-max levels (WIP)Utilization of Scrap
• Record keeping being Accurate, Timely, Legible/Scrap • Ability to Train Operators • Ability to oversee multiple workstation • Ability to interprets and Understand Schedule Adherence • Manage Line Flow
• Ability to lead • Ability to wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses
• Dependability/punctuality & Detail Oriented. • High school diploma is preferred. • Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required
• Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds, 8 to 12 hours a day is required • Ability to work in hot & cold environment is required • Be able to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs is required
• Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross-trained) is required • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required
• Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations is required
• Ability to follow Supervisors instructions/directions as given is required • Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative. • Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionalit
• Must have forklift experience
