Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands seeks a Production Associate 2 in New Jersey for a 2nd shift (3:45 pm - 12:15 am) with base pay of $17.75 per hour. You will operate saw and welding equipment, fabricate components, and support final assembly of windows in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates will be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, interpret production data, and use computerized equipment. This role requires standing on concrete for long periods and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths with a tape measure
• Lift 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist
• Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure
• Read and interpret production data and instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Stand, walk and work on concrete surfaces for long periods

Responsibilities

• Operate saw and welding equipment as part of component fabrication
• Assist in production of window parts for final assembly
• Work in a fast-paced environment with heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
• Use hand tools to construct window units and assemble components
• Move and load window sash components and insulated glass units
• Review production reports to support planning and quality control

Production Associate 2

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Saw operation
• Welding operation
• Fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows
• Fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands
• Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
• Lift glass onto build tables and roller racks
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Loading window sash components for processing insulated glass units
• Assembly of vinyl grids for placement within insulated glass unit
• Offloading insulated glass units to carts
• Utilize production reports to assist in production planning
• Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problem solving activities to resolve issues of concern

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately using a tape measure
• Ability to lift 50pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Able to convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Will require standing, walking, and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of timeA high school diploma or GED is preferred
