Job summary

inTEST Corporation, a global supplier of engineered test and production solutions, is seeking a Production Associate at its Mount Laurel, NJ facility. The role focuses on shipping, receiving, and mechanical assembly with opportunities to expand into other production areas.

You will work in a climate-controlled warehouse, use hand and power tools, read work orders and drawings, and support timely production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in shipping/warehouse/production environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Teams).
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and follow procedures.
  • Manual dexterity with hand tools and reading schematics.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing up to 7 hours.

We are actively searching for a Production Associate headquartered at our Mount Laurel, NJ facility to support our InTest EMS business unit.

Job Description

In this position you are responsible for shipping, receiving, and mechanical assembly and testing of our products. There are cross training opportunities in other areas within production, however, one Production Associate may be focused in one area. Our current need is a focus in shipping and mechanical assembly.

Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Prepare orders for shipment.
  • Use of computer software to prepare and complete shipping orders.
  • Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
  • Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise.
  • Use of power tools, pneumatic, and hand tools
  • Inspects equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
  • Observes and removes faulty product parts from inventory.
  • Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and adhere to drawings and schematics
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor
  • Professional and efficient internal communications through email and Teams
  • Potential training into electro mechanical assembly and testing.
  • Warehouse environment
  • Majority of time spent in climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3+ years previous work experience in Shipping/Warehouse/Production environment
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Team player/Problem solver
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Teams
  • Proficiency with all basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
  • Possess manual dexterity to put electrical or mechanical parts together quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to read and follow electro-mechanical assembly drawings, procedures and schematics
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software
  • Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information
  • Appropriate communication skills to convey information to other associates and supervisors
  • Understands when to request guidance from superiors and proper chain of command
  • Ability to Bend/kneel, stoop/crouch and twist/turn frequently.
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 7 hours per day.
  • The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50lbs.
