Job summary

Process Technology in Mayfield, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician to solder printed circuit boards, produce high-quality work products, and drive process improvements on the Test Team in a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED diploma required; associate degree in Electronics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years testing equipment experience.
  • 2+ years experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, calibrators).
  • Familiarity with power electronics is a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics and interpret technical documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and test operations as required.
  • Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Report deficiencies to the Process Expert or Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain ISO compliance and safety regulations.
  • Document revisions and update schematics via ISO procedures.
  • Enter production data into logs and records.
  • Suggest production method improvements and changes in wiring or installation.

Role Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Test Technician you will be responsible for soldering printed circuit boards, producing high quality work products, process improvement and more!

The Manufacturing Test Technician position is part of the Test Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in our Mayfield, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:

  • Perform simple to complex assembly & test operations, as required.
  • Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Report any deficiency and discrepancies to the Process Expert or Production Supervisor.
  • Follow department processes to ensure ISO compliance.
  • Use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate with Process Expert.
  • Adhere to and comply with all ISO and Company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean, neat, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Display excellent communication skills with all team members.
  • Attend and participate in required training and meetings.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
  • Recommends changes in wiring or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Capable of performing all duties listed including prototype designs, standard products, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Documents revisions to design, ensures schematics are updated via ISO procedures.
  • Enters information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
  • Recognition of nonconforming products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education :
    • High School/GED diploma required.
    • Associates degree or equivalent in Electronics, course certification in Electronics, Military related electronics training is preferred.
  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 3 years of testing equipment experience without continued education background.
    • 2 or more years of experience with the use of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, calibrators, etc.)
    • Familiarity with power electronics is a plus.
    • Ability to setup and/or program test equipment.
    • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and interpret other technical documentation.
    • Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuits to the component level.
    • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Soft Skills :

Compensation and Benefits

This position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Compensation typically follows industry median for Northeast Ohio/the Great Lakes region.
