Job summary

Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach is seeking part-time Production Assistants to support the Production team during events, performances, and daily operations.

You will help set up and break down spaces, move equipment, assist with load-ins and strikes, and provide light administrative support while maintaining a safe, efficient environment.

Job description

We are seeking part-time Production Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will support the Production team in executing events, performances, and daily operations. This role involves a combination of hands, on physical work and administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production team with a variety of operational tasks.
• Set up and break down event spaces, including arranging rooms and stacking chairs.
• Assist with the setup and takedown of tents and other event equipment.
• Move and relocate equipment such as pianos and other heavy items.
• Support load-in and strike (tear-down) of shows and events.
• Provide general event support as needed during productions.
• Perform light administrative tasks, including office support and coordination.
• Assist with catering setup and service when required.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Comfortable performing physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist in multiple areas.
• Flexible and dependable with a positive attitude.
• Technical experience is not required.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

This is a part-time, on-site position that requires flexibility to work for extended periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules and production needs. The role involves frequent movement throughout the campus and event spaces, prolonged standing and walking, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30-50 pounds on occasion.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
