Job summary

Gray Media’s WLIO-TV in Lima, OH is seeking a part-time Morning Floor Director to prepare the studio for the newscast and coordinate on-air timing. This 20-hour/week role runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 9:00 am.

You will set up microphones, lights, and cameras, monitor rundown timing, and cue anchors when to go on air or off air. The position requires reliability and basic math skills.

• Able to stand for extended periods and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Setting up studio, ensuring batteries are charged, timing of shows and cut-ins, moving cameras from set to set.

Job Summary / Description

The morning floor director is in charge of setting up the studio for the newscast, which includes getting microphones, lights, and cameras ready for the show. During the show, they are in charge of keeping time and letting the anchors know when they are on and off air. This position is part-time (20 hour/week). Mon. - Fri. (5:00 am - 9:00 am).

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Setting up studio, making sure batteries are charged, timing of shows and cut-ins, moving cameras from set to set

• Must be 18 years or older and have a High school diploma or GED.
