Gray Media, Inc. is seeking an Executive Producer to oversee our morning programs and help drive producers to develop high-quality, viewer-focused newscasts. The role sits within our growing WAND News newsroom and participates in newsroom leadership as a key manager.

You will coordinate content across platforms, supervise producers, ensure ethical standards, post to the website, edit video/audio, and support logistics of newsgathering while leading a morning program team.

Qualifications

• Editorial judgment, ethics, and libel laws are essential.
• Previous newscast-producing experience is highly preferred; leadership growth possible.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills are required.
• Able to work well with a team; flexible to mornings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate newscast content and presentation across multiple platforms.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor producers on news judgment and writing.

Job Summary/Description:

WAND News is growing and in search of an Executive Producer to oversee our morning programs and help drive producers to develop high-quality, viewer-focused newscasts. Our award-winning newsroom is expanding, and this position will be responsible for managing content and shows across multiple platforms. The person will be a member of the newsroom management team.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• - Coordinate newscast content and presentation across multiple platforms
• - Supervise, guide, and teach producers on news judgment, writing, and showcasing
• - Ensure quality and ethical standards are upheld
• - Post content to the station's website
• - Assist with the logistics of newsgathering
• - Produce television and online newscasts
• - Edit video and audio, along with other various duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• - Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws
• - Previous newscast-producing experience is highly preferred- Looking to grow into a leadership role in a newsroom
• - Strong grasp of problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills
• - Able to work well with a team
• - Flexible to work mornings, nights, and weekends
