Job summary

Aerotek is hiring Production Assembler III for our Buffalo Grove, IL facility. The role focuses on assembling, testing, inspecting, and preparing products for customers with high quality and accuracy. Immediate need on 2nd shift with multiple openings, and overtime may occur to meet demand.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of hands-on assembly experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong mechanical aptitude. The position is onsite and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming products and accurately enter information into production systems.
  • Clean products and components using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Inspect parts for wear, damage, or defects and report issues following quality procedures.
  • Perform basic functional testing on software updates and assemblies.
  • Disassemble products and replace components according to work orders and technical instructions.
  • Read and follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Use computers daily to access work orders, training materials, and production documentation.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, defects, and production activities.
  • Perform mechanical and basic electronic assembly work at a workstation or assembly line.
  • Package completed products for shipment or movement to the next production stage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, and cleanroom requirements.
  • Support production goals through teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, as needed to support customer demand.

Whether you have previous manufacturing experience, assembly experience, automotive service experience, or strong mechanical aptitude, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Production Assembler III, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are assembled, tested, inspected, and prepared for customers with the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming products and accurately enter information into production systems.
  • Clean products and components using approved cleaning solutions.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of assembly, manufacturing, production, or related hands‑on experience.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions.
  • Comfortable using computers for documentation, training, and work orders.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Cleanroom and ESD‑safe work environment experience.
  • Experience with inventory systems such as JD Edwards.
  • Familiarity with RF testing or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in automotive service, general labor, or technician‑related roles.
  • Experience with Google Workspace applications.
  • Strong documentation and inspection skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
