Job summary

Vantage Bank is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and support production AI systems. You will own agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and tool calling integrations, while evaluating frameworks to demonstrate correct behavior. You’ll provide technical leadership for governance and responsible AI adoption.

You’ll deploy AI services, build evaluation harnesses, and ensure auditable logs, least-privilege access, and governance alignment across the bank’s AI strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years building software/data systems with 2+ years AI/LLM production work.
• Hands-on experience with agentic/tool‑calling systems and end‑to‑end design.
• Expertise in RAG systems, embedding, retrieval, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with end‑to‑end ownership.
• Familiarity with Databricks AI/BI, Genie Spaces, Unity Catalog, governance.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds agentic AI workflows with controlled state transitions.
• Tunes retrieval pipelines and evaluates retrieval quality independently.
• Integrates AI systems with bank data through tool calling interfaces.
• Develops evaluation tooling: benchmarks, checks, regression suites.
• Maintains evaluation harnesses across teams and model versions.
• Deploys, monitors, and supports AI services in production with governance.
• Documents solution logic, prompts, queries, test cases and limitations.
• Ensures alignment with AI strategy and governance policies.
• Stand up internal apps (Databricks Apps/Streamlit) for frontline teams.
• Builds enrichment pipelines using SQL AI Functions for structured data.
• Supports governed analytics on Genie Spaces with Unity Catalog metadata.
• Other duties as assigned.
