Job summary

LangChain is seeking a Deployed Engineer in the United States to tackle hard problems in applied AI—systems that production teams rely on, not demos. You’ll partner with customer engineers to design and deploy agent-based solutions at scale.

You’ll own the technical win in pre-sales, work with customers through POCs, architecture reviews, and post-sale advisory, and you’ll travel up to 40% to support deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering).
• Strong Python and JavaScript skills with systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls.
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and evaluations.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developers.
• Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations.
• Bias toward action and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
• Excited about operating AI agents in production, not just demos.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs and answering deep technical questions.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational and research agents.
• Advise customers on architecture, best practices, and roadmap-level decisions.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences.
• Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and sample code.
