Job summary

LangChain, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Deployed Engineer to design and operate production AI agents with customer engineering teams. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go‑to‑market, delivering systems that real teams rely on in production.

You’ll own the technical win during pre‑sales, run demos and trainings, and travel up to 40% while contributing patterns and code across customers to advance the LangChain platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a technical role focused on production AI systems.
• Strong Python and JavaScript proficiency.
• Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond API calls.
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs and evaluations.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developers.
• Bias toward action with ownership of outcomes.
• Experience operating AI agents in production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales through POCs and evaluations.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications.
• Advise post-sale on architecture and roadmap decisions.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developers.
• Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns and code.
• Occasionally contribute upstream code to improve outcomes.
• Travel to customers up to 40% of the time.
