Job summary

LangChain is seeking a Deployed Engineer to join the team responsible for building and running AI agents in production. You will co-architect production systems with customer engineering teams and own the technical win during pre-sales, shaping architectures and multi-step workflows for real-world deployments.

You will work directly with customers, design agent-based or LLM-powered applications, and contribute actionable patterns and code.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering).
• Strong Python, JavaScript skills and systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered apps with multi-step workflows.
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and evaluations.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developers.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales with POCs and deep tech Q&A.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based apps (conversational, research, multi-step workflows).
• Advise on architecture, best practices, and roadmap decisions.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developers.
• Surface field feedback and create reusable patterns and example code.
• Occasionally contribute upstream code to improve outcomes.
• Travel to customers up to 40%.
