Job summary

LangChain is seeking a Deployed Engineer to build and operate production AI agents for real-world customers. You will co-architect solutions with customer teams, design POCs for the technical win, and help deploy agent-based applications across a range of workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a relevant technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, or solutions engineering).
• Designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications with multi-step workflows.
• Experience working directly with customers during POCs and architecture reviews.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developers.
• Bias toward action and ownership of outcomes in production AI systems.
• Comfort with operating AI agents in production, not just demos.

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams.
• Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs and guiding evaluations.
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications such as conversational and research agents.
• Advise customers post-sale on architecture, best practices, and roadmap decisions.
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences.
• Surface field feedback and contribute reusable patterns, cookbooks, and example code.
• Occasionally contribute upstream code to improve customer outcomes.
• Travel to customers up to 40% of the time.
