Job summary

LangChain is seeking a Deployed Engineer to work with customer teams on production AI agents and scalable deployments. You will co-architect and build solutions, drive the technical win in pre-sales, and help customers deploy agent-based applications across varied environments.

You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market, collaborating with startups and enterprises, and travel up to 25% to deliver measurable impact on real-world deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a technical role (software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, founding/product engineering)
• Strong Python, JavaScript and systems fundamentals
• Have designed agent-based or LLM-powered applications beyond simple API calls, including multi-step workflows
• Comfortable working directly with customers during POCs, architecture reviews, and evaluations
• Able to explain technical tradeoffs clearly and build trust with developers
• Take responsibility for outcomes, not just recommendations
• Bias toward action and ability to figure things out on the fly
• Excited about operating AI agents in production, not just demos

Responsibilities

• Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer teams
• Own the technical win in pre-sales by designing POCs and guiding evaluations
• Help customers deploy and operate agent-based applications
• Advise customers post-sale on architecture and best practices
• Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developers
• Surface field feedback and create reusable patterns and code
• Occasionally contribute upstream code to improve outcomes
• Travel to customers up to 25% of the time
