Our client, Industrial is seeking a Production to join their team. As a Production, you will be part of the Production department supporting the Production team(s). The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a focus on quality, and the drive to meet production goals which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Production
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $18-$19.50
Shift: 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM) and 2nd shift (2:30PM-11PM)
What's the Job?
- Safely operate a polybag machine to seal material when required.
- Pack material as required on the production sheet, including selecting correct inner and outer boxes.
- Label boxes as required on the production sheet and tape/stack boxes on pallets using box tape machines when available.
- Sort and repack finished goods as directed, ensuring accurate loading, threading, and setup for proper machine operation.
- Complete first piece inspection reports, record downtime and production figures, and assist with troubleshooting minor machine issues.
What's Needed?
- Ability to follow safety rules and work practices, including using/wearing appropriate safety equipment and PPE.
- Attention to detail to accurately cut, bag, label, and package materials to meet production and quality standards.
- Comfort working with production equipment, including setting feed and material tension, adjusting machine speed, and making necessary adjustments.
- Willingness to perform routine maintenance tasks such as daily cleaning, periodic cleaning of folding/vacuum rolls, and changing doctor blades and cutting blades as required.
- Strong reliability and communication skills to maintain a positive work environment with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
